So lots of updates! I mailed my Massage License Application out on Monday. Hopefully in 2 weeks I will have my License! Yay. Time to apply for jobs!
So day 2 and 4 were pretty rough. My muscles were very sore and I wasn't giving them a break. The meal replacement shakes (MRS) are yummy. Then I started adding PEANUT BUTTER. Yes please. They are super delicious now. It's like having a milkshake for breakfast and dinner. Ive been eating nice and healthily. And busting my ass at the gym. We have been logging 1.5 hours a day at the gym.
Day 3 thankfully, Mark suggested we play tennis. Which totally gave me a break.
Day 5. TODAY. Had a phantom alarm wake me up for work, drove to work only to be there an hour early somehow. Yay 5a! Don't know how that happened. So I napped in my car. I left work early because I signed up for an Abs and Back class. I was the only person that showed which meant I got 1 on 1 time with the trainer. He helped me a ton! In fact I have another 1 on 1 meeting with him tomorrow to discuss a training schedule. Awesome!
Mark and I decided to try PB2 which is powdered peanut butter with very little fat. I bought chocolate PB2 and Mark got the regular. I just mixed it in with my MRS and it's amazing!!
I like to think Ive lost 1lb but I cant tell. Mark says he's lost 6. Jerk.
Anyways, tomorrow is cheat day but Im not gonna cheat too badly because Saturday is the Sherwood Festival. Yay Renn Faires!

Day 1
Well morning started off alright. Had my Idealshape Chocolate meal replacement shake. I did 10oz of water,4 large ice cubes and 1 scoop. Tastes like chocolate milk! And since I knew my body/mind was gonna freak out about not eating food I also had a long stick of celery with pb and 15 raisins.
For my snack I had a slice of cheese and a string cheese (1pt weight watchers brand)
Lunch time came around and I was starving!! I think I should definitely drink more water after the shake. Especially since the directions say too. I also think drinking more water will keep me more full. Leftover, piece of Hake fish and baked squash, onions, carrots, red potatoes and some olive oil and spices.
Snack before workout. Strawberry applesauce with no sugar added.
Workout at the New Gym!! We worked out for an hour and a half. Tried 2 different elliptical machines (I hate cardio!!) Then I did alot of strength training. Which is kinda what I want. For the tough mudder I need to be able to do pullups. And I really want those thin, toned arms I used to have. Sigh. Plus some muscle mass would be nice.
Dinner. Sigh. We had our shakes. Of course Im still hungry. Im like a bottomless pit here. And we are invited out to Dave and Busters restaurant and arcade. So Imk like Ill just get an appetizer. Then Im like cheeseburger....So Mark and I both got burgers and fries. Sigh. Matt tried to shame us but I didnt really feel guilty. He was eating worse than us when we started working out and eating more healthy the last 2 WEEKS. Plus since weekends are our days off of the shake, I will continue eating very healthily this weekend instead of cheating.
Of course what I really need is cardio. Fuck cardio. So boring. Maybe Ill put TV shows on my phone and start watching those. I need new headphones though. And running shoes. And a new sports bra. And work out clothes...and money....
I told Mark if I lose 5 lbs and we stick with the gym for 2 weeks I was gonna buy a new sports bra. Of course he doesn't know they're like $40 or something ridiculous like that.
Anyways, day 2 is tonight. I got this.
Setting Up Mini-Goals in the side bar. Check 'em out.

Slacking a bit....
So Ive been slacking a bit on the working out and eating healthy the last few days. Like no exercise and dessert everyday. Damn emotions and stress. But after tonight I am back on track!
I finally passed my Massage Licensing Exam. Which was creating an untold amount of stress both emotionally and financially. I spent about $450 on that test (well $200 was from Mom, Thanks Mom!!) and studied my ass off for months. Then I was disgustingly sick this morning from my nerves. I wasn't nervous but my mind was telling my body something big was happening this morning. I cried in the bathroom when I left the testing room. So relieved.
I mean now I can finally move on. I can start my career. I can live my life. One year of 1 to no days off a week. Hours and hours studying, giving massages with no pay or tips, hours in the clinic. Phew. I am Awesome.
So two other big things happened today. 1. We (Matt and I) signed up for Planet Fitness. Yay. and 2. Our Ideal Shape Meal Replacement Shakes came in. Woot woot.
1. Planet Fitness, 24 hour Gym. Both MATT and I got Black Cards for $20/month which mean we both get to bring a friend for free. Which is why Mark didnt sign up. He wont go alone so he will go with either of us. FINALLY. Ive been trying to join a gym for a month now! Well hopefully it's not a waste. If anything there's free tanning and massage beds.
2. Ideal Shape. Now I have done MRSs before and I only found one I actually liked and that was GNC's Leanshake. Idealshake has appetite suppressants which is mainly what I need. As well as comsuming less calories on a daily basis. Mark and I will be taking it twice a day, breakfast and dinner and not on the weekends (At least that's the plan so far). Breakfast shake (usually mixed with fruit), snack (fruit usually, maybe tuna or a hard boiled egg, etc) Lunch (We have lean sandwiches on whole wheat, tuna, chicken salad, soup, etc) Snack (Veggie? Tuna?), Dinner Shake with Veggies. Evening snack, something small and easily digestible.
Well thats the plan. 0 pounds down. 30 to go! Lets do this!

Oh Motivation! How I hate you not being in my life...
So, Thursdays and Wednesdays are my break days. Mainly because Mark has off those days and refuses to work out. Ok. Fine. So we worked all the other days excluding friday, I gave someone a massage that day. I consider that my workout.
Today is Friday. A workout day. So Im ready to go. In fact, I want to go sign up at a gym and use newer cleaner machines. Like Mark and I had discussed. Well he doesnt want to make a decision yet. Well fuck. Then he decides he might be too tired to work out today. Well fuck. Then he decides that he isnt going to make the day up on one of his off days. REALLY? Ass. Sorry it just really pisses me off. I went and worked out today. So now Im pissed off, I leave the house disgruntled and come back 25 minutes later still pissed off and sweaty. I busted my ass. And my arms are weak.
So new topic. Carol took me to David's Bridal to try on dresses for her wedding. Ugh. I mean I asked her to. I told her let's go. And we did. As a larger girl, I dread clothes shopping. It wasn't so bad. Of course in 2009 for my wedding I was a size 18. 18. That is huge. And not good feeling at all. Two of Carol's bridesmaids, her sister and Hope are size 6. Fantastic. Her sister who just had a baby is probably about my size. Well I get the 18 and its too big, I cant even keep it up. I try 14 and 16. 14 is about 2-3 too small. And 16 is a little big. But I fit in 16's now. Thats kinda cool. See my chest is the size 18-20(Depending on fit). My waist is 16 and my hips would put me in a size 12. God damn those skinny bitches.
So I measured myself and Im gonna post a dress size Scale to give you all an idea.
Measure Cristel 14 12 10 8 6
Chest 44" 40" 38.5" 37" 36" 35"
Waist 37" 32" 30.5" 29" 28" 27"
Hips 40" 42.5" 41" 39.5" 38.5" 37.5"
Davids Bridal Dress. Will be in Mercury color. Same dress that Hope liked.
Well. I also made an inspiration board. There isnt much on it but it's got a nice start. Maybe I'll post a picture of it.
Thanks for being there for me Kevin. <3 You seem to have impeccable timing with your emails.

Working Out
So I took a break on Wednesday and Thursday. Since those are the days that Mark has off and the days he is breaking from.
Tuesday Mark and I went to the gym for a little. Yesterday was the start of Mark's exercise everyday after work regime. Both Matt and Mark agreed to start doing it. As well as starting protein shakes. Apparently Matt is big into those now, Matt is more of the diet diet diet kind of guy, and expects results without much exercise. Mark on the other hand is all exercise exercise and very little diet changes, also expects the same thing.
So I ran on the treadmill for 12 minutes and made it to 1 mile. I alternated between 3.0 mph, then 4, then 3, then 5, then 3, then 6, and so on until I did my last .15 mile at 8mph. And that was tough. But I was running so fast that it didn't take long. I surprised myself when I ran at 5mph, the 6mph and then 7mph without dying. At 5 and 6 I thought it was cake. 7 left me pretty winded.
I also did some bicep and chest stuff. Now my pecs hurt alot. I unfortunately was not able to do any lat work which pissed me off. Matts gym has no lat machine....sigh. So today we are going to our gym. Hopefully no one is there.
Still sticking to the diet for the most part, I am eating less sugar, no soda, ice cream or chocolate.
This week starts the no bread no high sugar part of my diet. Which is going to be bent a bit, because we bought pizza for a dinner and sloppy joes. Damnit. I just wont make any sandwiches.
Havent lost any weight yet. And Im not expecting to lose it just yet. Plus i plan on putting a lot of muscle on so weight wont be a reliable form of measurement.
Here's to another week of working out!

Still Sore!
Day 3:
I ate pretty well today!
Peanut butter and strawberry jam on 2 slices of whole wheat toast
Banana
Large piece of Salmon and Garlic Butter Rice
1 Slice Whole Wheat bread, slice of cheese, mustard, 2 slices of turkey
Dinner could have been better: Panda Express- Steamed White Rice, pepper chicken, honey walnut glazed shrimp
Drank Lots of Water Today!
Spent a good 20 minutes on the Veloway today. Bought some wrist guards. I'll have to invest in a helmet. 3 miles in 22 minutes going 8 mph! It was rough, alot of inclines and a few down small hills. Didn't fall. I still got it!
Then I gave Matt a 75 minute massage. I think the massage helped me more than it did Matt. I feel like I got a good workout and stretched some sore muscles.
I also cleaned a good portion of the living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom aka the entire apartment.
No BodyRock-ing today. Maybe tomorrow. I have 2 massages tomorrow and a few more this week. That's alot of calories!

There's a storm coming....
Because I just posted an update 3 days in a ROW!
I also worked out and eat fairly healthy today!
Breakfast - 1 whole egg+ 2 egg whites + dash of milk+ ketchup= Scrambled Eggs
Snack- Cottage Cheese Snack
Lunch- 1.5 bowls of Kashi GoLean Crisp Toasted Berry Cereal w/1% Milk
No Snack :( Which was probably why I was starving for dinner. Working on not binging right now. Well I did have a spoonful of Strawberry Honey Greek Yogurt!
Dinner- Fist Size piece of Salmon w/Teryaki sauce and Butter Garlic Rice (The $1 kind)
Planned Snack- Banana and maybe some more yogurt
Work Out:
45 Minutes of Tennis with Mark
Made it All the Way across the monkey bars! And now my hands hurt pretty bad...
Started doing day 2 of BodyRockers but Im so sore from yesterday! My body hates me!
I stopped part way into it to make dinner. But I got a decent sweat and I had just played tennis a bunch so Im still good.
Tomorrow starts Day 1 of the New March Challenge on BodyRockers. Maybe I will start those challenges!
Also, my plan tomorrow, weather allowing, I will be roller blading at the Veloway! Basically a wheels only track in Austin. No runners allowed! Although I'm a bit nervous about not having wrist guards, maybe I'll check out a sports shop before heading over there. I do need my hands...
Anyways! I fucking rock. You do too.

My Body Hates my Face....
Ok so I decided that not only will I do the Tough Mudder recommended preparation, but I will also be starting the February 30 Day BodyRock Challenge. A few of my friends from school did this, not sure if they stuck with it. All three of the trainers are fucking sexy and lean as hell. I dont need to be like them, just more lean than I once was. I can do that right?
So Day 1: Pretest, Do these 8 exercises, each in 50 sec. Record your scores. Mod as needed. Sigh.
BodyRock Pretest 3/3/12 11:00a
Squat Jumps: 20 (16 normal, 4 mod- no jump)
Push Ups: 25 (3 pauses- 2 sec each)
Burpees- 12 (Mod No jump, no pushup)
High Knees- 117
Switch Lunge- 20 (Mod no jump)
Top Jumps- 70 (Mod- Single Leg lift)
Triceps Dips- 17 (Mod 90 degree angle)
Straight Abs- 30 (Mod Feet of ground)
And now my abs, neck, quads, triceps and glutes are out to get me. Time to go grocery shopping, assuming I make it to the car...
I remember back in high school, you had to do 200 crunches in 2 minutes to score 200 points. I ALWAYS had 200 points. So that's one of my goals. On Monday I'm going to a wheels only track, basically no runners allowed. Time to bust out the Roller Blades. Rollerblading burns 520 Calories an hour. Hello awesome!
Now if I can just get my eating under control. I may have eaten over an entire pizza, well, I might as well have.
Challenge: Eat an omelet every morning or something filling and delicious! Bring a snack to work and either plan on buying something healthy for lunch or bring a good filling lunch!
I also have a profile on SparkPeople because that site is hella motivational.
